Tour from Rome to Venice
A tourist who comes to Italy for the first time can't miss the opportunity of visiting Venice, the city of bridges and canals!
Travelling to Venice by car is better mainly for two reasons:
1)the comfort of travelling in a private car
2)it is a perfect solution to optimize time! In fact, your driver will be waiting for you at
your hotel early in the morning and you will leave immediately, without any worries.
Instead if you have the intention to take the train (thinking it is a cheaper solution),
you will waste a lot of time! Maybe you haven't taken for granted that you must leave
your hotel earlier to reach the railway station in order to get your train on time!
You must also provide yourself a convenient ticket for Venice.
Once we arrive in Venice, we will start our walking tour! In fact you will see that no cars are allowed
because the city is actually built on water! The main means of transportation are ferries and the popular gondola!
Our tour will start with a trip along the Grand Canal! Nobles used to build their sumptuous residences along the
canal in order to show their richness! Amongst the many palazzos you will see Palazzi Barbaro, Ca' D'oro and Ca' Foscari.
It will be impossible not to notice the Rialto Bridge, one of the most famous and oldest bridges of Venice!
Our next stop will be at St. Mark's Square, 'the drawing room of Europe' (Napoleon). The trapezoidal square
is dominated by St. Mark's Basilica, one of the best- known examples of Byzantine architecture, and St. Mark's Campanile,
the bell tower 95 metres tall. We will continue towards the Bridge of Sighs. It takes this name because it was the last
view of the prisoners before going in their cells.
The last trip in Venice will be to the Island Murano, famous for their glass factories. We will assist to a
demonstration. I am sure that it will be a unique and unforgettable experience!
